About twenty-five iron tongues, up to 3m long, rise to form a flaming flower, then fall into each other with a crash. Like an agave plant, like a pouncing beast, rusting, restless, never static yet closer to death than birth. Endlessly mortal and resurgent. Lifelike. Loud! The creature catches itself in the act of collapsing. Prostrate, it pauses, shudders, and peers timidly about before erecting its spikes anew.
